The Sunbelt Hockey Journal takes pride in providing the Web with first-class coverage from our highly-trained writing staff.

Being a part of SHJ—and The Hockey Writers network—is a great stepping stone towards a career in sportswriting and is a powerful platform to build personal brands. We ask that only those who are serious about this field apply for a position with us.

We are willing to accept writers from all over the world as long as they are prepared to focus solely on Sunbelt hockey and possess a strong understanding of at least one team in that demographic.

In your message, include a resume along with at least one hockey writing sample; links and Word attachments are fine. If you don’t have any past hockey writing available, we ask that you put together an article of at least 500 words and include that in your application.
