From the Editor’s Desk: January 6, 2013

To our readers,

As you’ve all heard by now, the NHL lockout has come to an end, and training camps are scheduled to open next week. At Sunbelt Hockey Journal, we couldn’t be more excited.

When I started this site in the summer, I envisioned that we would become one of the most reliable and entertaining stops for southern hockey fans. It is still my intention to make this happen, and with the work stoppage over, I’m ready to get everything on track once again.

With NHL hockey back in action, you can expect a lot of great material from us. With writers covering every team in the Sunbelt, we’ll have daily commentary and news on your favorite clubs and players, tailored to you: the diehard fan.

I will resume my role covering the Carolina Hurricanes, and will bring my perspective to SHJ from the PNC Arena locker room and press box on a regular basis. In addition to my writing, I will soon be providing video material as well.

Our other great writer, hand picked by yours truly, are some of the sharpest hockey minds out there. I’m ecstatic for them to receive the audience they deserve, and I am fully confident you will appreciate all they have to offer.

So enjoy today, everyone, and get ready for a wild 2013.
